The Council of Europe has criticised UK minority languages policy although it has described the revival of Manx by the government here as ‘impressive and enthusiastic’.The section on Manx ascribes the responsibility for its promotion to the UK which may come as a surprise to some here as the promotion and development of the language has taken place domestically.The link to the full report is here:
