The Irish Republican Party RSF (Republican Sinn Féin) held a protest at the British Embassy in Dublin on Tuesday this week.
The protest was part of an ongoing campaign of opposition by the group to the proposed visit to Ireland by the Queen of England.
RSF has been a vociferous critic of the proposed visit casting it as part of an obsequious campaign to `normalise’ British rule in Ireland.
The group has also in the past highlighted the links between members of the British monarchy and the British military including direct links to regiments involved in atrocities in the north of Ireland in the past few decades
For example the Parachute Regiment, of which the Queens eldest son is Commander in Chief, was directly responsible for the `Bloody Sunday’ murders in 1972.
