From 1939 until 1951 the Calf of Mann was owned by the English National Trust. In 1951 they ‘rented’ it to the Manx National Trust.
Think of it! Part of the National territory rented to you by a ‘Trust’ from a neighbouring country,
In the 1980s a campaign was commenced by the Celtic League to recover the Calf and this was achieved in 1986. We won!
The sovereignty of the National territory is inviolable if we don’t believe that we have no right to call ourselves Manx!
