NEWS FROM THE CELTIC LEAGUE
A few days ago I gave a brief resume of the contents of the current issue of Carn our journal (see link):
https://www.celticleague.net/news/carn-162-summerautumn-out-now/
As I mentioned there’s lots more including an article on the two Welsh Poets T E Nicholas and R S Thomas.
Rhisiart Talebot’s editorial says NO to any concept of a ‘federalist Britain’!
There also an obituary article on long time League stalwart and Alba branch member Archie Cameron Macpherson (this is written in two parts by Seamus Filbin (another stalwart of Alba branch) and Patricia Bridson (former Editor of Carn).
Scottish branch Secretary, Iain Ramsay, poses some awkward questions about the evils of empire in his article ‘Union Jack an Emblem of Shame and Dishonour’.
Cathal O Murchu sets out some uncomfortable truths about Irish in his article ‘Neo-colonial Ireland is Killing Irish.
Meanwhile Gi Keltiek celebrates the publication of issue No 400 of the Breton monthly journal Breman – it makes Carn at issue No 162 feel comparatively youthful!
