NEWS FROM THE CELTIC LEAGUE

Well it doesn’t look as if Mec Vannin paid much heed to the critics who found their Manx Gas poster item offensive!

The suggestion that a failure to deal with rising costs would ultimately lead to more winter deaths was the stark theme of the item in question.

Indeed like Mec Vannin we highlighted the issue of the correlation between energy poverty and winter deaths by writing to both government and the IOM Coroner (see link);

Despite the apparent ‘volte-face’ by Manx Gas which as yet no one has been able to quantify Mec Vannin has rammed the issue to the fore again in the current edition of Yn Pabyr Seyr which was distributed at Hango Hill yesterday its now online (see link)
