‘Meanwhile in the Isle of Man Tynwald members sit on their hands as the energy rip-off continues’
There is to be a major drop in electricity prices which will bring a substantial saving to consumers in N. Ireland.
The average saving on bills will be £50 when the cut in charges of over 10% takes place in April.
Power NI also says quite clearly that they can make this reduction because of the reductions in both oil and gas prices.
This latest substantial move is likely to lead to pressure on suppliers in other parts of the United Kingdom to replicate the move.
Meanwhile in the Isle of Man the rip-off of energy consumers continues with government unwilling to intervene and Tynwald members ‘sitting on their hands’ over the issue.
Meanwhile elements of the Manx media are fixated on trivia e.g. whether an MHK plagiarised part of his speech than addressing the fundamentals that have a real impact on the lives on Manx people.
