Interesting graphic here from the UK Office for National Statistics, It’s not a scientific measure of Cornish identity because there is no Cornish tick box on the census forms at present. However this is based on the number of people almost 100,000 who ‘wrote in’ declaring their identity as Cornish, I think it’s fair to conclude that although (as pointed out the number of Cornish people will be much higher) the distribution pattern should be fairly indicative with concentrations of indigenous people in mid Cornwall and the West of the country.
It would be interesting to have that sort of data for Mann as well before the Chief Minister and ‘his friends’ open the population floodgates once again.
