A report in the Irish Post indicates that Ireland is seeking UNESCO World Heritage status for several sites in the country including:
The Burren in Clare, The Royal Sites of Ireland: Cashel, Dún Ailinne, Hill of Uisneach, Rathcroghan Complex, and Tara Complex,Clonmacnoise in Offaly and Dunbeg Stone Fort in Kerry.
The Burren through which hiked many years ago is truly spectacle as indeed are the other sites all of which I have visited (in some instances on several occasions) over the years.
