As prices for fuel and food rise anger is also rising at government inaction.
In Ireland tomorrow there will be coordinated demonstrations in major centres such as Belfast, Dublin, Limerick, Cork, Sligo and Galway. NGOs and political parties and politicians are supporting the demonstration. There is particular anger that the government has said they will ‘wait until October’ to review things. That is exactly the same as the government in Britain and the Isle of Man has indicated.
It’s clear that inflation is not going to have a summer holiday. Action is needed now to tackle homelessness, fuel and food poverty.
