NEWS FROM THE CELTIC LEAGUE
Three fm and Energy fm seem to have broken the ‘purdah’ on the story that gas consumers in Ireland drawing their supply from the same pipeline that feeds the Isle of Man are about to enjoy their second gas reduction this year (links):

The Celtic League DOI interviewed by the stations issued this release last week:
“IRISH GAS PRICE FALL AS MANX FACE RIP-OFF!
As Manx Gas customers face a difficult winter with gas prices increased following a disgusting betrayal of customers by the Manx government news that gas consumers in Ireland look set to see reductions from January.
The irony is that most of the gas supply to Ireland comes down the same pipeline a spur from which supplies the Isle of Man.
Electric Ireland is set to reduce its standard gas unit price charge from the beginning of 2016 by 2.5%. Both business customers and residential consumers will benefit (incidentally last month Electric Ireland also reduced its electricity prices). Average savings will be €20.
The latest reduction in gas price will be the second in the last twelve months
Meanwhile Irish alternative supplier, SSE Airtricity will also reduce its household electricity prices by 2% from 11 January 2016.
The reduction will apply to around 340,000 customers and will result in savings of around €23 annually on home electricity costs.
The also cut their prices in April this year by 2%
While the reductions per annum on average are modest they come on top of earlier cuts in the spring and reflect the general downward trend in energy prices.
Only in the Isle of Man does this spineless government allow a selfish greedy energy supplier MANX GAS to rip its people of.”
