It’s the fiftieth anniversary this week of the death of the first members of Cuman na mBan to die in the troubles.
Mother-of-four Maura Meehan (31) died along with her sister Dorothy Maguire when soldiers opened fire on a car in which they were passengers in west Belfast in October 1971.
The British Army unit involved is believed to have been from the Royal Green Jackets.
The circumstances surrounding the deaths are disputed by relatives of those who died and last year the Irish News newspaper announced a legal action was being pursued.
