A plan to develop an old British Army Camp at Penhale in Cornwall is under fire; the development proposes beach houses and holiday chalets. At the present time what Cornwall needs is homes for its indigenous population.
The cliff top proposal has other concerns: the area is close to both an SAC (Special Area of Conservation) and SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) and nearby Penhale Sands I understand is habitat for Choughs.

There is no doubt a development in this location will have an impact on wildlife and for what more tourists or second homes?
