Emergency Towing Vessel Review Meeting 09:00 4th March 2011
You are formally invited to attend an ETV review meeting to be held 09:00 4th March 2011 at the offices of the Scottish Government, Victoria Quay, Edinburgh, EH6 6QQ.
The announcement last September that the current ETV contract is not to be renewed has raised a number of questions from interested parties.
The MCA together with the Scottish Government has arranged a meeting that will provide the MCA with an opportunity to present the current position and facilitate discussions among the interested parties to consider options that will be available following the withdrawal of the tugs.
Space is limited, please confirm you attendance by return, restricting where possible each organisation to a single person, please confirm attendance by CoP Friday 18th February.
It is also proposed to hold another meeting in March/April in London and, should you wish to register your interest in attending this meeting instead, I would be grateful if you could also confirm this by the same date as above.
Yours sincerely
Philip Naylor
Director of Maritime Services”
