It is not every day that the stance of the Celtic League gets an ecclesiastical blessing but that is what happened last week with the news that the Bishop of Sodor and Man is to raise the issue of Manx government tax links with the despotic regime in Bahrain in Tynwald.

Subscribers to Celtic News will recall that the League raised this issue with the Manx government some time ago and we were disappointed that the matter has not surfaced politically sooner.

Obviously gratifying as it is to have the Bishop highlight the issue it is still disappointing that no elected member of the Keys chose to question the government’s moral compass.
