It is the commemoration of the Easter Rising in Dublin. Although events are low key this year with Covid regulation Captain Marie Carrigy of the Irish Army reads the proclamation on the steps of the GPO:
Meanwhile at Áras an Uachtaráin President Mchael D Higgins lays a wreath not just for those who fell in 1916 but also to commemorate all who have died in the Covid outbreak:
