UK found guilty in International Court of Justice over Chagos eviction half a century ago.

The fight of the Chagos Islander to be allowed to return to their homeland has received a major boost following judgement against the United Kingdom in the International Court of Justice at the Hague.

The Celtic League has long been a supporter of the Chagossian people and only recently received the latest response in a long running exchange with the UK on the issue (this time with the MOD).

The plight of the Chagossian people has been the subject of several Celtic league AGM resolutions over several decades including most recently at the IOM AGM in 2017 and the following year in Scotland (2018).

Although the decision of the Court in non binding it is sure to re-energise International efforts on behalf of these folk who were evicted from their Islands in the most brutal of circumstances.
