Sheol an Conradh Ceilteach r-phost ag moladh na dea-oibre atá Comunn nam Pàrant ag i dtaobh fás na scoileanna Gaidhlige.
The Celtic League sent an email to Comunn nam Pàrant congratulating them on their work in increasing Gaelic Medium Education.
A Chara,
On behalf of the Celtic League we wish to congratulate yourselves and your organisation in your recent successes in the promotion of Gaelic Medium Education. It gives us great heart to see the growth of Gaelic Medium Education in Scotland. That there will be a third Gaelic Medium School in Glasgow opening soon shows the demand for Gaelic Medium Education in the city. You have come a long way from 1985 when there was only 24 young people attending Gaelic Medium Education. To hear that there is 4,343 attending this Gaelic Medium Education is phenomeal.I am sure that these pupils are seeing the benefits of bilingual education including the ability to acquire new languages easier, improved creative skills and math skills. This will see them through to the future in the labour market where they will find expanded employment opportunities where they can work with the Gaelic languages in fields like translation, media, teaching, Gaelic organisations, etc. They are also reconnecting to their Gaelic heritage which was denied to previous generations due to government policies of anglicisation.
Again we want to congratulate yourselves on your efforts and if there is anything the Celtic League can do to assist in this amazing growth of Gaelic Medium Education, do not hesitate to contact us.
A charaidean còire,
Tha mi a’ sgrìobhadh thugaibh às leth a’ Chomainn Cheiltich oir tha sinn airson meal ur naidheachd a chuir oirbh airson an adhartais a rinn sibh o chionn ghoirid a thaobh brosnachadh foghlam tro mheadhan na Gàidhlig. Gun teagamh sam bith tha e gu math brosnachail dhuinn a bhith a’ faicinn fàs ann am foghlam tro mheadhan na Gàidhlig ann an Alba. Tha an treas sgoil Gàidhlig a bhios a’ fosgladh ann an Glaschu a dh’ aithghearr a’ sealltainn gu bheil tòrr dhaoine ag iarraidh foghlam tro mheadhan na Gàidhlig anns a’ bhaile ud. A’ coimhead air ais gu 1985 nuair nach robh ach 24 neach òg a’ frithealadh air aonad FMG chan eil teagamh ann ach bheil sibh air tighinn astar fada. Tha e dìreach sgoinneil a chluinntinn gu bheil 4,343 a-nise ann am foghlaim tro mheadhan na Gàidhlig ann an Alba.
Tha sinn cinnteach gu bheil na sgoilearan sin a’ faicinn nam buannachdan a tha foghlam dà-chànanach a’ toirt dhaibh, mar eisimpleir an comas airson cànanan ùra ionnsachadh fada nas fhasa, sgilean cruthachail nas fheàrr a bhith aca agus comasan matamataigeach nas fheàrr. Chì sinn iad san àm ri teachd anns a’ mhargaidh obrach far am faigh iad cothroman cosnaidh leudaichte agus, tha sinn an dòchas, far an urrainn dhaibh a bhith ag obair leis a’ Ghàidhlig ann an raointean leithid eadar-theangachadh, na meadhanan, teagasg, buidhnean Gàidhlig agus msaa. Tha iad cuideachd ag ath-cheangal ris an dualchas Gàidhealach aca a tha chaidh a dhiùltadh do ghinealaichean eile air sgàth nam poileasaidhean a rinn sgrios air a’ Ghàidhlig agus air na Gàidheil.
A-rithist tha sinn airson meal ur naidheachd a chuir oirbh airson na h-oidhirpean agaibh. Ma tha dad sam bith as urrainn don Chomann Cheilteach a dhèanamh gus cuideachadh leis an fhàs iongantach seo ann am foghlam tro mheadhan na Gàidhlig, nach dèanaibh cinnteach gun cuir sibh fios thugainn.
Leis gach deagh-dhùrachd,
